PERSOL CAREER CO., LTD. Azabudai Headquarters Office — Expansion Project

This project expands the Azabudai headquarters of Persol Career, operator of the job placement service “doda.” Rather than simply adding floor area, the design embraces upcycled materials throughout, achieving a workplace that balances environmental responsibility with considered design.
Interoffice handled furniture selection and procurement — including pieces from Vitra and Maruni Wood Industry — and proposed and coordinated upcycled materials in line with the project concept. Maruni’s HIROSHIMA chairs feature patchwork upholstery made from leftover fabric, while the T&O Round Table uses a laminated top assembled from small offcuts. Further upcycled elements include tabletops in Kvadrat’s Really recycled textile material and stages and counters constructed from repurposed Framery shipping crates. Throughout the space, the texture and materiality of each surface bring the value of upcycling into direct, tangible experience.
